According to the results of 2025, the Ukrainian holdings Kernel and NIBULON are among the five largest exporters of Ukrainian grain for the MY 2024/25.

Kernel’s share in exports increased to 12% (+2% y/y), and the volume of shipments reached 5.4 million tons, which allowed it to maintain its leading position. The company transported 9.1 million tons of products through its own terminals – 36% more than a year earlier.

NIBULON exported about 5.1% of Ukrainian grain and, according to the results of the season, is in fifth place, despite the fact that more than 68% of the company’s assets are occupied or blocked. According to CEO Andriy Vadatursky on Forbes Agro, in general, NIBULON seeks to return to the pre-war share of exports at 15% (in 2021, the company exported the maximum during its existence of 5.64 million tons). The first steps in this direction have already been taken – in December, it strengthened its trade department with three international traders.

In parallel, over the year, the company expanded transportation on the Middle and Upper Danube and plans to reach 30 thousand tons of commercial transportation per month for external customers.

Further development of the grain and oilseed markets of Ukraine and the Black Sea region will be in the spotlight of the BLACK SEA GRAIN. KYIV conference, taking place on April 22–23 in Kyiv. The event will focus on strategic directions for the agricultural sector through 2030, including investments, energy independence, processing, and exports of high-value products.
