Kernel oilseeds processing up 1.5x in Q1 FY2020
In Q1 FY2020, Kernel's oil extraction plants processed 629 thou. t of oilseeds, up 50% y-o-y.
"It reflected the good supply of stock on the market at the end of the sunflower seed processing season (July-September) following the record harvest of sunflower seeds in autumn 2018," the company's report reads.
Of the indicated volume, 624 thou. t are sunflower seeds and 5 thou. t — soybeans.
Sunflower oil sales volumes in Q1 FY2020 totalled 301 thou. t, a 26% decrease y-o-y. Bottled sunflower oil sales constituted 8.4% of total sales volumes.
Previously reported that Kernel crushing plants are among the key producers of unrefined sunflower oil in 2018/19.
