Kazakhstan to introduce transport subsidies for flour exports
Kazakhstan will introduce new support measures for grain processing exports, including transport subsidies for flour exports. Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov announced the initiative, emphasizing the need to expand export markets and improve the competitiveness of Kazakhstan’s agricultural products.
Under the government’s decision, the Ministry of Agriculture, together with the Agency for Protection and Development of Competition, will authorize the Food Corporation to act as the operator responsible for reimbursing transportation costs for exported grain processing products. The measure is expected to reduce logistics expenses for exporters and support shipments to international markets.
The government also instructed the Ministry of Agriculture to introduce investment subsidies for the modernization of cotton processing plants and to support sugar beet transportation. These measures are intended to strengthen Kazakhstan’s processing industry and improve the competitiveness of domestic producers.
In addition, regional authorities and the Ministry of Agriculture have been instructed to accelerate the purchase of breeding livestock under the national livestock development program to increase meat production and expand exports. According to the Prime Minister, ensuring a successful growing season, an efficient harvest campaign, and the timely implementation of investment projects remain key priorities for the country’s agricultural sector.
