Kazakhstan raises wheat, flour export forecast by 400 thsd tons
The Kazakh Grain Union on Thursday raised its export forecast for wheat and flour in grain equivalent between September 2025 and August 2026 from 13 million to 13.4 million tonnes.
In the first seven months of the current marketing year, exports in grain equivalent reached 9.7 million tonnes, accounting for 72.5 percent of the annual target, Yevgeny Karabanov, head of analytics at the union, said via Telegram.
Exports of soft and durum wheat in March amounted to 809,600 tonnes, down 4.6 percent month-on-month. Shipments continued to decline due to a seasonal slowdown, squeezed exporter margins following new provisions in the Tax Code, and a significant appreciation of the national currency, Karabanov noted.
At the same time, the export forecast for all wheat between September 2025 and August 2026 increased by 200,000 tonnes to 8 million tonnes.
