Serik Zhumangarin, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan: “In general, we plan to export about 5-6 million tons of grain to the markets of Central Asia and Afghanistan in the near future, in Uzbekistan, for example, plans to send – 3.5 million tons, in Tajikistan – one million, in Kyrgyzstan – 500 thousand tons. These countries are our main destinations.
Aidarbek Saparov, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan: “Last year the yield and quality of our grain were lower than this year. Our cost of production was more expensive. And the cost of Russian grain was much lower than ours. This year we can already compete with this country and sell our products at a low price. That is why we are gradually entering the markets of Iran and Egypt. We plan to cover the markets of the Persian Gulf countries.
