Kazakhstan. Linseed exports fell for the first time since MY 2014/15
This season’s linseed exports (September-May 2019/20) totaled 97.3 KMT, or 8% less than a year earlier, UkrAgroConsult reports.
The EU is the top importer, which absorbs 64% of total exports. However, the volume of purchases fell by 24%.
A decline in linseed exports was registered to the following key destinations: Afghanistan (-39%), Mongolia (-53%), Uzbekistan (-48%).
China bought more than 82 KMT and became the second biggest importer.
The following countries boosted linseed imports from Kazakhstan: Turkey, Italy, Germany.
A slowdown in exports was observed to: Tajikistan, Poland, Belgium.
