Kazakhstan exported 6.4 mln tons of grain
Kazakhstan exported 6.4 million tons of grain in the MY 2025/26, according to Kazakhstan Temir Zholy. This is almost a 20% increase compared to the same period last marketing year.
“From September 2025 to February 19, 6.4 million tons of new-harvest grain were exported to foreign markets. During the same period in the MY 2024/25, the volume of deliveries was 5.4 million tons,” the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported, citing Kazakhstan Temir Zholy.
This growth was driven by increased trade with traditional markets in Central Asia and beyond.
Shipping to Uzbekistan increased significantly, by 46%, from 2 million tons to 3 million tons.
Exports to Kyrgyzstan increased 1.7-fold, from 104,000 tons to 180,000 tons.
Exports to Afghanistan increased 1.9-fold, from 236,000 tons to 466,000 tons.
Positive export growth demonstrates strong demand for Kazakhstani grain and the competitiveness of domestic products in foreign markets.
