Kazakh linseed prices climb on export markets, reach $510 per tonne
Kazakh linseed prices continue to rise on export markets, reaching $510–515 per tonne. According to the weekly report by Yevgeny Karabanov, representative of the Grain Union of Kazakhstan, domestic prices remained stable over the past week, while export quotations increased again.
During February 23 – March 1, 2026, the domestic EXW price remained unchanged at 220,000–230,000 tenge per tonne (approximately $446–466). Meanwhile, the export price on FCA Kazakhstan terms increased by $5 to $510–515 per tonne.
On the European market, prices also moved higher. The price for Kazakh brown linseed (97% purity) on DAP Poland terms rose by EUR 10 to EUR 535–540 per tonne. In addition, the C&F ARAG price increased by $5 to $690 per tonne for April shipment.
On the Chinese market, prices remained stable due to the Lunar New Year holidays. Domestic prices in China stood at 4,700–5,100 CNY per tonne ($685–743), while C&F Tianjin port prices were quoted at 3,750–4,100 CNY per tonne ($547–598). The USD/CNY exchange rate was 6.8587.
It is worth noting that export prices have been steadily increasing throughout February. At the beginning of the month, FCA Kazakhstan prices were at $485–490 per tonne, rising to $490–495 by mid-February and reaching $505–510 by late February. Since the start of the year, the C&F ARAG price has gained $55, while linseed oil prices in the EU have declined by $10, from $1,330 to $1,320 per tonne.
