Jordanian traders claim that the country will buy up to 120,000 metric tons of feed barley
European traders reported on Thursday that Jordan’s state grain buyer had issued an international tender for the purchase of up to 120,000 tons of animal feed barley.
The deadline to submit price proposals in the tender is on March 19.
Traders had expected a new announcement after Jordan failed to purchase 120,000 tons barley in its previous tender on Wednesday.
The tender seeks to ship 50,000-60,000 tons of consignments between May 1-15 and May 16-30, June 1-15 and June 16-30, as well as August 1-15.
The deadline for a separate Jordanian tender to purchase 120,000 tons milling wheat is March 18.
