Jordan purchases 60,000 T of feed barley at tender
European traders reported that Jordan’s state grain purchaser purchased approximately 60,000 metric tonnes of animal feed barley in an international bid seeking up to 122,000 tons on Wednesday.
The trading house Al Dahra was reported to have purchased the product at a cost and freight included of $229.25 per ton for shipment during the first half September.
The reports reflect the opinions of traders, and it is still possible to estimate prices and volume later.
Al Dahra was believed to be one of eight trading firms that participated in the bid. The other firms, according to traders, made the following offers with their estimated prices per ton C&F: CHS 231,98, Cargill 222,86, Viterra 236; Bunge 233,85; Ameropa 247.50; Olam 243.41 and Louis Dreyfus 2334.
The tender sought to ship consignments between September 1-15, 16-30 September, 1-15 October and 16-31.
