Jordan purchases 60 thsd tons of wheat
Jordan’s Ministry of Industry and Trade on April 21 bought 60,000 tons of milling wheat through an international tender. According to traders, the deal was awarded to Cargill at a price of $273.99 per ton on a C&F basis.
The purchase is part of a broader tender in which the ministry sought to acquire a total of 120,000 tons of wheat of optional origin. Shipment of the contracted volume is scheduled for August 16–31.
Other participants in the tender included CHS with an offer of $275.4 per ton, Bunge at $281.0 per ton, and Louis Dreyfus Company at $282.0 per ton.
