Jordan purchases 50 thsd tons of barley in tender
The state grain buyer of Jordan has purchased around 50,000 tons of feed barley in an international tender held on March 25. According to traders, the deal was awarded to CHS Inc. at an estimated price of $259 per ton on a C&F basis, with shipment scheduled for the second half of July.
Traders noted there are currently no indications that Jordan will issue a new barley tender in the near term. However, final estimates of volumes and pricing may still be subject to revision, which is typical for international grain tenders.
