Jordan purchased 50 thsd tons of barley in tender
The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Jordan purchased 50,000 tons of feed barley in an international tender that closed on Wednesday. According to traders, the winning bid was submitted by CHS at $251.50 per ton C&F, with shipment scheduled for the second half of June.
It is also noted that the price offers for grain in the tender were voiced by operators Bunge ($254 per ton C&F), Olam ($264.7 per ton C&F), Cargill ($256.95 per ton C&F), Ameropa ($257.23 per ton C&F), Buildcom| ($268 per ton C&F), Solaris ($269 per ton C&F) and Dreyfus ($271 per ton C&F).
At the same time, the country issued a new tender to purchase 120,000 tons of feed barley. The deadline for submitting bids is approaching, and the new purchase is intended to ensure stable grain supplies to state reserves in the coming months.
