Jordan issues tender to purchase up to 120 thsd tons of wheat
The state grain buyer of Jordan has issued an international tender to purchase up to 120,000 metric tons of milling wheat from optional origins, according to European traders. The deadline for submitting price offers is set for February 24.
The new tender follows an earlier attempt to purchase the same volume of wheat, which resulted in no deal. Shipments under the new tender are requested in 60,000-ton consignments for delivery between May 1–15, May 16–31, June 1–15, and June 16–30.
In addition, Jordan has launched a separate tender to buy 120,000 tons of animal feed barley. The country regularly holds international grain tenders to maintain stable food reserves and secure supply for its domestic market.
