Jordan holds tender for barley purchase
On September 10, the Jordanian Ministry of Industry and Trade held a tender for the purchase of 120,000 tons of feed barley of any origin. This was reported by the Zerno On-Line agency with reference to European traders.
60,000 tons of barley were contracted at $262 per ton on a C&F basis from Bunge with shipment on November 16-30.
The following companies also took part in the tender:
- Dreyfus, which offered barley at $266 per ton
- Cargill – $267.74
- Olam – $269.5
- Ameropa – $275
- Agrocorp – $276
The next tender for the purchase of 120,000 tons of feed barley of any origin will be held on September 17. Shipment is scheduled for November 1-December 31.
