Jordan held a tender for the purchase of barley
On December 10, the Jordanian Ministry of Industry and Trade held a tender for 120,000 tons of feed barley of any origin, according to the Zerno On-line news agency, citing European traders.
A total of 120,000 tons of barley were contracted at $272.75 per ton on a C&F basis:
- 60,000 tons from Al Ghurair with shipment from January 15-31;
- 60,000 tons from Olam with shipment from February 1-15.
The following companies also participated in the tender:
- Bunge, which bid $279 per ton;
- Dreyfus – $282;
- Aston – $289;
- Agrocorp – $278.5.
The next tender for 120,000 tons of feed barley of any origin is expected to take place on December 17. Shipment will take place in March-April.
