Jordan made no purchase in an international tender for 120 thsd tons of milling wheat that closed on August 11. According to traders, only three companies — Bunge, CHS and Olam — participated in the tender. Limited participation was attributed to uncertainty over grain supplies from the Black Sea region amid attacks on ports and commercial vessels.

Following the cancellation, Jordan’s state grain buyer issued a new wheat tender, with offers due by August 18. Shipments are requested for the second half of September and throughout October.
