Jordan announces new tenders to purchase barley and wheat
Jordan’s state grain buyer has issued an international tender to purchase up to 120,000 metric tons of feed barley, according to European traders. The deadline for submitting price offers is set for May 6, 2026.
The new tender follows an earlier attempt in which no purchase was made for the same volume of barley. If contracts are awarded, shipments are expected in consignments of 50,000–60,000 tons, scheduled for August 1–15 and August 16–31.
In addition, Jordan has launched a separate tender to buy 120,000 tons of milling wheat. The deadline for submitting bids for this tender is May 5, indicating increased procurement activity by the country on the global grain market.
