Indonesia’s B40 biodiesel plan would be a ‘disaster’ for global market – opinion
A leading palm oil industry analyst said on Tuesday that Indonesia’s plan to make extensive use of palm oil-based B40 biodiesel from next year would be “disastrous” for the global market as it would entail an additional 1.5 to 1.7 million metric tons of the commodity.
Oil World (Germany) senior analyst David Milke also said that global palm oil production is expected to increase by 2.3 million metric tons in 2024/25 compared to the previous season.
