Indonesia increased its palm oil exports in June

Palm oil exports from Indonesia rose to 2.75 mln tons in June, according to Oil World. This is 1.26 mln tons more than in May (1.49 mln tons ), but 0.3 mln tons less than in June last year. Shipments of refined palm oil totalled 2.21 mln tons (1.33 mln tons in May; 2.42 mln tons in June 2025).

China was the largest buyer of Indonesian oil in June, purchasing 505,000 tonnes (259,000 thsd tons in May and 587,000 tonnes in June 2025). Next came India – 361,000 tonnes (39,000 and 503,000), Pakistan – 279,000 (148,000 and 244,000), the EU – 213,000 (185,000 and 240,000) and Bangladesh – 169,000 (71,000 and 159,000).

In the first half of 2026, total palm oil exports from Indonesia reached 13.3 mln tons, which is 0.65 mln tons more than in the same period last year. However, a decline in supplies is expected in the second half of the year due to a forecast reduction in production and a rise in domestic consumption, primarily to meet the needs of the biodiesel sector.
