Indian manufacturers sold a record 1.2 mln tractors in 2025
The Indian tractor industry sold 1,228,525 units of equipment in the domestic and foreign markets in 2025, which is 21.9% more than the previous year. This figure became a new historical maximum, exceeding the previous record of 2022 by more than 160 thousand units.
978,748 tractors were sold in the domestic market of India, which is almost 80% of the total production. Export deliveries amounted to 249,777 units of equipment. The leader in domestic sales remains Mahindra, which sold 237,916 machines and secured a market share of 24.3%.
Swaraj is in second place with 186,512 tractors, while Sonalika rounds out the top three with 126,738 units. The industry’s rapid growth confirms India’s status as one of the world’s largest agricultural machinery manufacturing hubs.
