India, Spain and Poland have become key importers of Ukrainian vegetable oils
In July-March of the 2025/2026 marketing year, exports of vegetable oils from Ukraine increased in monetary terms, despite a decrease in physical volumes of supplies. This is stated in the AgroDigest of monthly changes in trade in agricultural products of Ukraine, which is at the disposal of the editorial staff.
The total value of exports amounted to $4.94 billion, which is 21.1% more than in the same period last season. At the same time, export volumes decreased by 1.6% – to 4 million tons.
Sunflower oil
The key product remains sunflower oil, the deliveries of which amounted to more than 3.16 million tons worth almost $4 billion. At the same time, the value of exports increased by 12%, although physical volumes decreased by 10.1%.
The largest importers of sunflower oil are India (484.4 thousand tons), Spain (445.7 thousand tons), the Netherlands (393.5 thousand tons), Italy (305.3 thousand tons) and France (185 thousand tons). Significant volumes also go to Egypt (179.7 thousand tons) and Iraq (142.3 thousand tons).
Rapeseed oil
Rapeseed oil exports grew the most dynamically – 2.8 times in value and 2.3 times in volume, reaching 461.8 thousand tons. The main buyers were Spain (103.6 thousand tons), Poland (83.5 thousand tons), Bulgaria (67.1 thousand tons) and the Netherlands (62.3 thousand tons).
Soybean oil
The soybean oil segment also showed growth: exports amounted to 380 thousand tons worth $420.9 million. The main sales markets are EU countries, in particular Poland (275.2 thousand tons), Germany (23.4 thousand tons), Romania (13.4 thousand tons) and the Netherlands (12.3 thousand tons).
