In MY 2021/22, China cut sunflower oil imports from Ukraine by half
Ukrainian sunflower oil exports in MY 2021/22 (September-November) totaled 1350 KMT (-15% y-o-y, the lowest in four seasons).
Amid a bumper crop of sunflower seed, the lag in sunflower oil exports is caused by the market situation: crush has declined as growers hold back their oilseed, UkrAgroConsult reports.
Shipments to key export markets changed as follows: China (-50%), India (-11%), EU countries (+28%).
Growth in exports was registered to the following markets: Egypt (+1108%), Spain (+86%), the Netherlands (+13%).
A slowdown in exports was fixed to Iran (-83%), the UAE (-76%) and Malaysia (-50%).
