Grain imports to EU countries fell by 3% this season

From the beginning of the current season (July 1, 2024) to April 29, 2025 EU countries imported 26.788 million tons of grain and its processed products, which is 3% less than for the same period last season. This is reported by Grain On-Line agency with reference to the European Commission.

In the current season, the EU imports soft wheat and corn mainly from Ukraine. From July 2024 to April 2025, Ukraine supplied the EU with 4274.4 thousand tons of soft wheat and 9712.4 thousand tons of corn. The largest supplier of barley is the UK (420.4 thousand tons), and of hard wheat – Canada (957.4 thousand tons).
