Ukraine offers the UN World Food Program (WFP) to expand the Grain from Ukraine initiative.

This was stated by Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine Denys Bashlyk during a meeting with the delegation of the UN World Food Program (WFP) in Ukraine led by Director Richard Ragan, the press service of the Ukrainian ministry reports.

“Denys Bashlyk thanked representatives of the World Food Program for their assistance in implementing the initiative of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy Grain from Ukraine and demining of land. The parties also discussed the possibility of expanding the Grain from Ukraine program to other African countries that have not yet joined this program,” the report says.

Denys Bashlyk informed about the progress of preparations for the International Food Security Summit Food from Ukraine, which will be held on November 19 in Kyiv, and invited WFP representatives to participate.

Further development of the grain and oilseed markets of Ukraine and the Black Sea region will be in the spotlight of the BLACK SEA GRAIN. KYIV conference, taking place on April 22–23 in Kyiv. The event will focus on strategic directions for the agricultural sector through 2030, including investments, energy independence, processing, and exports of high-value products.
