Grain from Ukraine: over 20 mln people received food

Since the launch of the Grain from Ukraine program, Ukraine and its partners have delivered 290,000 tons of agricultural products to countries facing hunger and food crises.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.

It is noted that food was delivered to the Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Mauritania, Mozambique, Nigeria, Palestine, Syria, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen.

More than 20 million people have received assistance.

“Grain from Ukraine is a humanitarian food program of Ukraine that supports the peoples of Africa and Asia. Ukraine and its international partners supply Ukrainian agricultural products (grain, oil, flour) to people facing hunger. “The program began work in 2022 at the initiative of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and together with the UN World Food Program,” the ministry recalled.

Further development of the grain and oilseed markets of Ukraine and the Black Sea region will be in the spotlight of the BLACK SEA GRAIN. KYIV conference, taking place on April 22–23 in Kyiv. The event will focus on strategic directions for the agricultural sector through 2030, including investments, energy independence, processing, and exports of high-value products.
