Grain exports from Ukraine exceeded 2 million tons
The volume of exports of grains and pulses from Ukraine in 2023/24 MY as of July 28 amounted to 2.05 mln tonnes, up 46% compared to the same period last season (1.4 mln tonnes). This is evidenced by the data of the State Customs Service, published by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Thus, since the beginning of the season, 720 thsd tonnes of wheat have been shipped, which is 2.2 times more than last year.
Barley supplies to foreign markets amounted to 255 thsd tonnes (up 95%).
Rye was shipped in the amount of 0.5 thousand tons.
Corn was exported in the amount of almost 1.1 million tons, which is 13% more than the volume of shipments on the same date last season.
In 2023/24 MY, Ukraine exported 9.2 thsd tonnes of flour, up 2.5 times compared to last year (3.7 thsd tonnes).
For reference: in 2022/23 MY, the exports of grains and pulses totaled 49 mln tonnes: wheat – 16.8 mln tonnes, barley – 2.7 mln tonnes, rye – 18 thsd tonnes, corn – 29.1 mln tonnes, flour – 153.6 thsd tonnes.
