Global fertilizer exporters introduce export quotas
Following China, Russia has introduced export quotas on mineral fertilizers that will remain in effect from June 1 to November 30, 2026.
The total export quota amounts to 20 mln tons, including:
- more than 8.7 mln tons of nitrogen fertilizers,
- more than 4.2 mln tons of ammonium nitrate,
- more than 7 mln tons of compound fertilizers.
The measure is aimed at preventing shortages on the domestic market and ensuring uninterrupted operations for farmers, feed producers, and other key consumers.
