Ghana has started producing pasta from Ukrainian flour
Ghana has started producing pasta from Ukrainian flour. The project is being implemented as part of the launch of the first international agri-food hub, which Ukraine is developing together with the UN World Food Program (WFP). This was announced by the Ministry of Economy after a meeting of the Ukrainian delegation with WFP representatives.
The first regional agri-hub is planned to be launched in Ghana. The reconstruction of warehouse and production facilities is already underway there, and local production of pasta from Ukrainian flour has also been established.
Ready-made food kits will combine Ukrainian and local products and will be used to quickly respond to food crises.
“We have already moved on to practical steps to launch the first hub in Ghana and plan to scale this initiative in the Democratic Republic of Congo and the UAE. “This model allows us to simultaneously support Ukrainian farmers and help countries of the Global South overcome food crises,” said Oleksiy Sobolev, Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture.
Further development of the grain and oilseed markets of Ukraine and the Black Sea region will be in the spotlight of the BLACK SEA GRAIN. KYIV conference, taking place on April 22–23 in Kyiv. The event will focus on strategic directions for the agricultural sector through 2030, including investments, energy independence, processing, and exports of high-value products.
