Germany announces the delivery of an air defense complex to protect the port infrastructure of Odesa
Minister of Defense Christine Lambrecht visited Ukraine for the first time since the beginning of the war and came to Odesa. Lambrecht announced the rapid delivery of the Iris-T ground-based anti-aircraft complex to protect the port.
This is reported by the German publication Welt.
“… This will help protect ‘critical infrastructure’ and repel Russian airstrikes,” Christine Lambrecht said.
At a meeting with Ukrainian colleague Oleksiy Reznikov in Odesa, Lambrecht announced the delivery of the first unit of the SLM Iris-T ground air defense system in the coming days. The specified air defense system should protect the critical port infrastructure, including the clean ones, from drones that are in service with the occupiers.
