Freighter with corn from Ukraine ran aground, refloated, Bosphorus
General cargo ship LADY ZEHMA ran aground in Bebek Bay, Bosphorus, Istanbul, at around 1800 UTC Sep 1, was refloated at around 2140 UTC with several tugs assistance, and taken to Ahurkapi Anchorage, where she was anchored. LADY ZEHMA with cargo of corn is en route from Ukraine to Italy.
Rudder failure said to be the cause of accident. No other damages reported. As of 0440 UTC Sep 2, the ship remained anchored.
