FranceAgriMer raises soft wheat stocks forecast
Farm office FranceAgriMer on Thursday increased its forecast of French soft wheat stocks at the end of the 2023/24 season to 3.90 million metric tons from 3.75 million projected last month, now 53.6% above last season’s level.
In a supply and demand outlook, the office cut its forecast for French soft wheat shipments within the European Union this season, to 6.25 million tons from 6.28 million expected in April, and also lowered projected livestock feed demand to 4.58 million tons from 4.65 million.
Forecast French soft wheat exports outside the EU in 2023/24 were raised marginally, to 10.05 million metric tons from 10.00 million last month.
