France will cover the costs of delivering 50,000 tons of Ukrainian wheat to Ethiopia and Somalia

France has decided to pay for the delivery of 50,000 tons of Ukrainian wheat to Ethiopia and Somalia. In addition, France will provide Ukraine with more than 1 ton of humanitarian cargo
This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of France Catherine Colonna at a joint briefing with the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba in Kyiv
“This is the largest humanitarian operation in terms of scale, where we collected more than a ton of humanitarian cargo to help Ukraine. Tomorrow evening I will be in Marseille for the departure of this ship,” she said.
The column noted that the French president supported the initiative of Volodymyr Zelensky, who decided to transfer 50,000 tons of grain to Somalia and Ethiopia for free.
“This is a very important step. The country, which is itself in a state of war, took such a humanitarian step,” the head of the French Foreign Ministry emphasized.
It was previously reported that France will help rebuild a military town in the village of Gostomel in the Kyiv region.
