Food demand in China continues growth
China’s food demand is still expanding and efforts to boost food production need to be strengthened, said Han Wenxiu, an official from China’s Central Rural Work Leading Group who spoke at a news conference on Monday.
“More than 1.4 billion of us want to eat, and we want to eat better and better,” he said, adding that people now ate meat, eggs and milk in greater volumes than before.
