Food corporation sells 500 thousand tons of grain to stabilize prices in Kazakhstan

The Food Corporation of Kazakhstan will send 500 thousand tons of grain to the domestic market. This will be done to stabilize prices on the domestic market.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, following the results of the forward purchase of grain from the crop harvested from the fields in 2021, the National Company Food Contract Corporation JSC has formed resources. We are talking about 930 thousand tons of grain. Of the above amount of food wheat, 880 thousand tons were stored.
To stabilize prices for social bread, the Food Corporation, starting from January 2021, will sell 275 thousand tons of wheat at a reduced price. It will be designed for flour mills. Also, 235 thousand tons of grain and bran will be sent to Kazakhstani poultry farmers and livestock breeders so that they are provided with fodder.
We will remind, last week, Kazakhstan was covered with massive protests, due to the increase in prices for liquefied gas and other goods.
