Flour exports from Russia in July-August was the highest since 2015/16

Russian flour exports in July – August 2019/20 totaled 36.2 KMT that is up 17% from July – August 2018/19 and the highest volume for this time since MY 2015/16, reports UkrAgroConsult.
At the same time, according to preliminary data, Russia exported 12.0 KMT of flour in August 2019/20, or half as much as in July and 11% less than in August 2018/19 (13.5 KMT).
The biggest buyers in July – August included China, Belarus and Syria (no shipment was made to Syria in MY 2018/19).
A rise in exports was registered to China (+132%), Belarus (+33%). Active sales to Tajikistan and Iran.
A slowdown in exports was observed to Georgia (-56%) and Armenia (-67%).
