First assessments of the state of spring crops have been published in the US
The National Agricultural Statistical Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (NASS) has released its first estimates of the condition of spring crops.
As of May 25, the share of corn crops in good and excellent condition is 68%, in satisfactory condition – 27%, in poor and very poor condition – 5%. The share of spring wheat crops in good and excellent condition is 45%, in satisfactory condition – 37%, in poor and very poor condition – 18%.
American farmers have 13% of the planned area left to sow with corn, 13% with spring wheat, and 24% with soybeans.
