Fat-and-Oil Union of Russia standing for regulatory measures in the oilseed market
According to Mikhail Maltsev, executive director of the Fat-and-Oil Union of Russia, regulatory measures in the oilseed market, first of all regarding sunflower seed, may be introduced as soon as Q2 2020 or even in March.
The export-oriented model of oilseed market pricing dictates its rules: crushers are between export prices and growers, who are getting maximum margin now, reports UkrAgroConsult.
Record high oilseed exports and reluctant farmer sales in the domestic market prevent crushing companies from full realization of the available production potential created by a bumper crop.
Maltsev expects oilseeds acreage to further expand this year.
