Exports of Ukrainian corn came close to last year’s volumes
The exports of grains and pulses from Ukraine in 2023/24 MY amounted to 47.7 mln tonnes as of June 7. This is up 1.74 mln tonnes (4%) compared to the same period last season.
This is evidenced by the data of the State Customs Service, published by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Thus, since the beginning of the season, 17.7 mln tons of wheat have been shipped, which is 1.95 mln tons or 12% higher than last year.
Barley supplies to foreign markets amounted to 2.4 mln tons, which is 9% less than last year.
Rye was shipped in the amount of 1.6 thousand tons (-91%).
Ukraine exported 27.1 mln tons of corn, which is almost 200 thsd tonnes or 1% less than the same date last season.
Ukraine exported 93.6 thsd tonnes of flour, down 50 thsd tonnes or 35% year-on-year.
For reference: in 2022/23 MY, the exports of grains and legumes totaled 49 mln tonnes: wheat – 16.8 mln tonnes, barley – 2.7 mln tonnes, rye – 18 thsd tonnes, corn – 29.1 mln tonnes, flour – 153.6 thsd tonnes.
