Export of Ukrainian grain exceeded 1 million tons
According to the operational data of the State Customs Service, as of August 16, since the beginning of the 2023/24 MR, Ukraine exported 3.299 million tons of grains and pulses crops, of which 1.025 million tons were shipped in the current month, the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine reported.
At the same time, as of August 19 last year, the total figure of shipments was 2.988 million tons, including in August 1.288 million tons.
In terms of crops, since the beginning of the current season, the following were exported:
– wheat – 1.328 million tons (in 2022/23 MR – 783 thousand tons);
– barley – 397 thousand tons (257 thousand tons);
– rye – 0.6 thousand tons (0.1 thousand tons);
– corn – 1.568 million tons (1.935 million tons).
The total export of Ukrainian flour as of August 16 is estimated at 15.7 thousand tons (in 2022/23 MR – 7.4 thousand tons), including wheat – 15.2 thousand tons (6.4 thousand tons).
