European Union increases rapeseed purchases by a third this season

European Union soybean imports in the 2022/23 season reached 12.84 million tons, down 11% from 14.47 million a year earlier, data released by the European Commission showed.
EU rapeseed imports in 2022/23 MY reached 7.33 million tons, up 34% from 5.46 million tons a year earlier.
Soybean meal imports for the same period were 15.62 million tons, down 4% from 16.22 million tons in the previous season, while palm oil imports were 3.94 million tons, down 19% from last year’s 4.88 million tons.
