European tractor market will recover only in 2027 due to Chinese pressure
Fendt CEO Christoph Groblinghoff predicts a recovery in the agricultural machinery market only from 2027 and warns of increased competition from Chinese manufacturers. According to him, the industry is currently experiencing a period of stagnation, and low demand is forcing companies to adapt to new economic conditions.
This is reported by Agrarheute.
The Fendt CEO noted that Chinese brands are actively entering the European market, offering cheaper alternatives in the low- and medium-power tractor segment. Christoph Groblinghoff believes that this creates additional pressure on traditional manufacturers, who are forced to rely on innovation and digitalization.
“We do not expect significant sales growth in the next two years. Only in 2027 can the market return to stable growth rates,” said Christoph Groblinghoff.
Despite the difficult situation, the company continues to invest in the development of new technologies. In particular, we are talking about the introduction of autonomous control systems and environmentally friendly engines, which should become the main advantage of European technology in the fight for buyers.
