EU sugar production in 23/24 will remain stable – USDA
In 2023/2024 MY in the European Union, sugar production is expected to remain at 15 million tons.
This was reported in the USDA report for May 2024.
It is expected that the sugar beet area will increase slightly, but the yield will decrease. Consumption, imports, and exports are forecast to remain unchanged, while stocks are expected to increase along with the growth of beginning stocks.
