EU increases exports of oilseeds and derived products by 2%
During the first 50 weeks of the current season, which started on July 1, 2025, EU exports of oilseeds rose to 4.4 million tonnes, up 2% compared to the same period last season. The data was reported by Zerno On-Line, citing the European Commission.

From July 1, 2025 to June 14, 2026, soybean exports totaled 281,986 tonnes (-24% y/y), rapeseed 573,457 tonnes (+57%), and sunflower seeds 978,248 tonnes (+74%). Total oilseed exports reached 1,833,691 tonnes (+41%). Soybean meal exports amounted to 418,893 tonnes (-13%), rapeseed meal 677,181 tonnes (-10%), and sunflower meal 304,549 tonnes (-4%), bringing total meal exports to 1,400,623 tonnes (-10%).
Vegetable oil exports were as follows: soybean oil 564,609 tonnes (-24%), rapeseed oil 586,025 tonnes (+14%), sunflower oil 410,289 tonnes (-25%), and palm oil 150,950 tonnes (-62%). Total oil exports amounted to 1,147,264 tonnes (-21%). Overall, EU exports of oilseeds and their processed products reached 4,381,577 tonnes (+2%).
Main export destinations include Turkey for sunflower seeds (81% of total exports), the United Kingdom for rapeseed (79%), and Serbia for soybeans (64%). Sunflower oil is mainly shipped to the UK (36%), soybean oil to Morocco and the UK (45% and 21%), while rapeseed oil is exported primarily to Norway and the UK (42% and 30%).
