EU grain exports show sharp decline at start of season
In the first two weeks of the current season, which began on July 1, 2025, EU countries exported 682.3 thousand tons of grain and processed products, which is much less than in the same period in the 2024/2025 season and in the 2023/2024 season. This was reported by the Zerno On-Line agency with reference to the European Commission.

The main export destinations for soft wheat of European origin in the current season were Algeria (63.0 thousand tons), Cameroon (51.7 thousand tons) and Lebanon (30.0 thousand tons).
The largest buyers of barley were Jordan (99.2 thousand tons), Saudi Arabia (81.3 thousand tons) and Ethiopia (30.0 thousand tons).
