According to a forecast by FAS Cairo, Egypt’s soybean imports are expected to rise to 5.2 mln tons in the MY 2026/27. The growth will be driven by increasing demand for feed from the poultry, livestock, and aquaculture sectors, while the United States is expected to maintain its leading position among suppliers.

At the same time, consumption of oilseed meals in feed rations is projected to grow, supported by stronger demand for animal products. Production of soybean, sunflower, and palm oil is also expected to increase, driven by population growth and rising demand from the food industry.

Further development of the grain and oilseed markets of Ukraine and the Black Sea region will be in the spotlight of the BLACK SEA GRAIN. KYIV conference, taking place on April 22–23 in Kyiv. The event will focus on strategic directions for the agricultural sector through 2030, including investments, energy independence, processing, and exports of high-value products.
