Egypt diversifies wheat sources due to geopolitical risks
Egypt’s state grain agency Mostakbal Misr told Reuters it has signed wheat supply contracts with strategic partners in France and Romania, and has strong positions in South America and Australia thanks to timely purchases.
The moves are aimed at diversifying sources of wheat and vegetable oils to reduce dependence on Russia and Ukraine amid geopolitical risks.
