Egypt: Agriculture minister announces release of 287,000 tons of fodder worth $143mn
Minister of Agriculture al-Sayyed al-Qusseir announced Tuesday that 287,000 tons of fodder, including maize and soya beans, worth around 143 million dollars have been released over the past week.
A statement released by the Agriculture Ministry said that the move comes in implementation of directives to release all commodities stocked at the different ports.
Qusseir said the released fodder comprised 212,000 tons of maize worth 84 million dollars, and 75,000 tons of soya beans worth 57 million dollars, plus other supplements worth about 2 million dollars.
