Drought reduces winter crops harvest in Germany

According to the German Farmers’ Union (DBV), the yield of winter crops in Germany will be lower than expected, as the crops were affected by hot and dry weather.
In 2023, the gross harvest of winter wheat will decrease to 20.59 mln tonnes, down 7% compared to last year, and winter rapeseed – by 4% to 4.11 mln tonnes.
