Conab reports record soybean yields in Brazil, final harvest reaches 171.5 mln tons

According to the Brazilian National Supply Company (Conab) Crop Review, Brazil’s grain production in 2024/25 is estimated at a record 350.2 million tons, well above the record of 324.36 million tons set in the 2022/23 season.
In its final report on the 2024/25 agricultural season, published on September 11, state-owned Conab noted an increase in planted area by 1.9 million hectares to 81.7 million hectares and favorable weather conditions that contributed to good results.
The soybean harvest, the main crop, is estimated at a record 171.5 million tons, up 20.2 million tons from the previous year. Given more favorable weather conditions in most producing regions compared to the 2023/24 season, the average yield in the country in the current cycle reached 3,621 kg/ha, which is the highest figure on record.
It was previously reported that the growth of soybean acreage in Brazil is slowing down and in the 2025/2026 season will amount to only 1.5%, which indicates that the country’s agro-industrial complex is entering a new phase of development.
